Being away…

Aloha,

So I’ve been away for nearly a year now, and I’ve slowly been missing writing (as I’m still buying tons of cosmetics and skincare!). Well, anyway…so much has happened in a short space of time.

• Turning 22 🙂
• 1st Holiday with my boyfriend to Amsterdam
• 3rd Anniversary with my boyfriend
• New Job!
• Christmas
• Booked our 2nd holiday to Rome in June!

…don’t forget today – Valentines! One of my favourite days of the year, I love being a romantic. We’ve been for a lovely stroll on the beach, and opened our gifts. I’ve been so spoilt today, I’m such a lucky girl!

The main news is…that I’m back! I’ve recently signed up to Dollibox, which is a monthly subscription beauty box. I used to blog about Birchbox, Glossybox and You Beauty Discovery. But, Dollibox seems to be very bright and bold – and it’s not as popular as the rest of them…which is what attracts me to it!

I can’t wait to receive my first one which will be this week, but I’m working full-time so it may get a little hard to post often  but I will try my absolute hardest – I promise. Everyone is asking me to do my videos again, I will do a couple but it won’t be consistent 😦 sorry!

My ‘Afforable Beauty’ Haul…

On Monday, I went a bit crazy whilst shopping. I have decided to try and get my vlog back up and running. But, I can’t seem to find a decent editing software…any tips would be great! I went out on an ‘affordable’ spree, which I bought so many bargains. This is so that people who can’t spend fortunes on beauty can actually buy something decent every now and then…and not spend lots of money. I will keep you updated. xo

Bee Cosmetics – Organic Beauty

I love organic products, so I was happy to purchase these products. I bought beeswax, peppermint lip balm and a bath melt. All of the products have beeswax or honey collected by actual beekeepers. I’m petrified of bees, so I’d rather them have the job than me.

 

Birchbox: Free Your Mind…

I actually love this box, its been one of my favourite boxes since I started beauty box blogging! I had surgery last week, so this has kept me busy whilst trying to recover. The variety of products this month is amazing, considering all I usually get sent is nail varnish. But, I’m very happy with what I recieved this month. Wooo! The blog post will be up soon…xo.

Glossybox: May 2015!

So many of the products this month are full size! So, overall I’m happy with the outcome. The product selection is varied too, so I won’t get bored easily…and no nail varnish! Thats a first! I can’t wait to try all of these wonderful products…

Revival of Birchbox…

For one month only, I will be blogging about Birchbox! I have seen many reviews on the May box, and have been deciding whether to get it…I chose yes! The sample selection is brilliant, and each subscriber gets to pick a WAH LONDON product, which are quite costly.

I have already ordered it, so it should come within the week…and my Glossybox should arrive too! It’s going to be a busy week ahead for me. Can’t wait to get back into the blogging world, and I may make a little video too! Make sure you stay tuned…

Lord and Berry – Lip Crayon:

When you look at this colour before you apply it, the colour looks red, but don’t think that is the case. The colour is an orangey tone, which looks a little bit red. This lip crayon stays on all day, which is rare to see in a crayon. Even though I love the colour, I am not an avid fan of the brand so I would give it a 7/10 for the quality. But, I wouldn’t purchase it again… (£10).

Pop! Cosmetics – Eye Liner:

I always have an eyeliner in my cosmetics bag…I go through them so quickly. Black is my ultimate liner colour, as it makes my eyes stand out. This is the only cosmetic that I have tried by the brand, so I would love to try a few more things before I can give a true opinion about it. The eyeliner stays on for a long time, but it isn’t waterproof…and for the bottom eyelid, thats really what quality you need. Overall, I will give it a 8/10 for its consistency…(£6.50).

Bath Salts:

Unfortunately, I can’t use any bath salts anymore. Bath salts do terrible things to my skin, so I never risk it. So I can’t really give any feedback on this product, (£6.00/35ml).

Astral – Multipurpose Cream:

Many people I’ve spoken to use this cream on their faces, but I prefer to use it as a dry area cream. The cream is very thick, and I feel as though it could be too greasy for facial use. It’s a good cream to use whenever you see a dry area crop up out of the blue. I call it a ‘cupboard cream’…and would give it a 5/10 as I hardly use this product and when I do the fragrance isn’t my favourite… (200ml/£3.89)

I think we all know how I feel about receiving nail varnishes…considering I receive one every month! The nude colour bores me, I prefer bright colours that stand out…(£4.10).

Shopping Haul: Happy 1st of May!

This is why I’ve wanted pay day to come quickly…to get my hands on these beauties! I am a big fan of Make Up Revolution, and have waited ages to purchase the Mermaids vs. Unicorns eyeshadow palette. Superdrug in Brighton, have always been sold out or unavailable…but I managed to buy it today so I’m one happy beauty blogger.

I have started to use highlighters to give myself a summery glow, and have seen this palette in store before, but even though it is a bargain (£8 for three colours), I still had to save! Thankfully, it was 3 for 2 across all of the cosmetics…so I picked up the Sleek contour kit. I’ve never used one, so the outcome will probably be disastrous and will take many failed attempts before I get it right. But like every girl knows…practise makes perfect!
